Soprano Cornet | Juliet Richards Juliet has been playing in the band since the start of 2008,having previously played for Hayle, Redruth and Kernow Concert on the principal cornet seat. She has also played repiano and solo cornet for Camborne Town Band. While at university, she played for the Sellars Engineering Band, near Huddersfield. Juliet says that her most memorable moment in banding was standing on the stage in the Manchester Free trade Hall at the British open, playing a solo passage from the test piece revelation. She says that "It was an amazing experience and one that she will never forget." Her favourite concert piece is 'You Raise Me Up', from her cornet days. Her favourite test piece is Revelation following her experience from the British Open. In her spare time, she enjoys reading Dan Brown novels, going to the Cinema and Travelling. |
| Repiano Cornet | Sharon Dower Sharon joined the band in 2003 after a 5 year break from banding. She had previously played for Stythians, Redruth, Camborne and the Cornwall Youth Brass Band. By day, Sharon works for the Cornwall Council as a Licensing officer. Sharon says that she is still waiting for her most memorable banding moment although Max 'the 2nd Cornet' Wall reckons it is when she first met him. As Sharon said, she is still waiting!! Other hobbies include going for the occasional run and has even been known to complete a whole 3 miles without stopping. She also has a fondness for the odd glass/bottle of red wine. |

| 2nd Cornet | Alan (Max) Wall Max currently plays 2nd Cornet for the band. He is married with two children (one deceased) and four grandchildren. Max started playing at the age of 8 and has played for the St Margarets Church Brass Band, Sheffield City Concert band, many Military and Jazz bands, Pit Orchestras, Helensburgh Symphony Orchestra in Scotland, St Columb Major Town Band and the Plymouth Concert Band. Max has performed for the Royal Family as well as playing concerts in St Michaels Cave in Gilbraltar. Max is a keen golfer and would like to improve his handicap if his wife allows! |
| 3rd Cornet | Hannah Evans The youngest player of the band at 11 years old Hannah along with her mother and two sisters joined the band in September 2009. She has been playing cornet since she were 3 years old and learnt to play the piano at 6. She is working towards her grade 5 on the cornet at the moment. Since 2008 she has been a member of the National Childrens Band. She is now looking forward to attending secondary school (her teacher says she is working at a high level)! and making new friends. When she is not banding she enjoys swimming and netball but dislikes any other sports because she is rubbish at them. |
